I received my Bachelor of Education from the University of Punjab. In 2002, I moved from Dubai with my husband and daughter. We grew our family and I chose to stay home and ran a dayhome! I always wanted to work with kids and have a large family! In 2007, I bought Childsplace Learning Centres and I still own it currently. In 2011, I opened Childsplace Learning Centres Crestmont in the lower level of the community centre. With the downturn of the economy in 2015, I undertook the task of changing the program from a preschool to a daycare and in July 2016, Childsplace Learning Centres Crestmont to Little Stars. In 2017, I opened KidzClubCalgary. KidzClubCalgary is an out of school care program located within the CBE school system.
I am a mom of 4 children. We spend lots of time with friends and doing lots of travelling! Our favorite place to visit is Europe!
I received my Early Childhood Education Diploma in 2000 in Saskatchewan. In 2002, I moved to Calgary to seek new opportunities in the childcare field. I have worked in the field since then at various places with various ages. In 2009, I received my Montessori certification to teach children ages 2.5 to 6 years in the Montessori method. I have also completed many professional development courses over the years; I have completed the Flight Course in 2020, along with the Possibilities for Practice and Supporting Curriculum Practice. I am working on my outdoor certification course and waiting to enroll in a few other courses. My favorite learning to date is anything from Lisa Murphy (the owner of Oooey Gooey). I have been employed with Benzy for 12 years and enjoy every moment of being in the centres.
I am a mom of 2 wonderful children ages 13 and 9 years. We like to spend lots of time outdoors and together. My son loves martial arts and my daughter loves dance. Between these activities and other family events, we are a busy family!
Along with Little Stars, I am the Area Coordinator for Childsplace Learning Centre Ltd and KidzClub Calgary. With 3 centres, busy is the name of the game! You will see me at 1 location and then be off to another centre!
I believe all kids deserve to have a safe educational environment to learn and grow. We strive every day to provide a lasting education in each child that comes through our center. I believe in being an advocate for the children and working towards offering a well balanced program that enrichs the child and the family!
I have a long extensive teaching experience over 30 years. I started by teaching young children ended up teaching high school students from different nationalities and leading the department in different international schools in Abu Dhabi- United Arab Emirates. Locally, I have taught in different weekend schools in Calgary. That is added to my specialized teaching qualification (bachelor’s degree) from a well-known Egyptian university. I have also, developed, launched, and ran week-end school in Calgary as the principal and the main teacher for two years but, unfortunately the school was closed due to COVID restrictions.
I completed my Early Childhood Diploma through CDI College and received my Level 3 certification.
I believe that the combination of my qualification along with a very long experience, in addition to my other skills, hobbies and my positive personality will help towards the success of any program and school. My goal as an educator will be to enrich children’s knowledge, practices, their critical thinking and guiding them towards being good members in their communities.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, social activities, handwork sports (swimming – volleyball- jogging) and cooking.
I am originally from Japan. I came to Canada in 2015 with my husband and I am a mom of 2 children ages 11 and 14 years old. I received my Early Childhood Diploma is 2017 from Bow Valley College and received my Level 3 certification. I have worked with children for 18 years in Japan and 7 years in Canada. Since I was a child, I loved playing with children and taking care of them. I desired to work with children as I got older. It is my pleasure to see how children grow.
I received my Level 1 Early Childhood Education certificate in 2024 from Bow Valley College. Prior to this, I worked as a landscape designer for over ten years. I really enjoy planning age-appropriate activities for children, and I hope to teach them new ways to explore the world through play. I chose to work with Little Stars because of the wonderful things that are offered and done here. I am looking forward to the opportunity to grow and connect with the children and families.
I'm from Ukraine. I came with my husband and my son who is at Little Stars too. I completed a pedagogical Bachelor's degree in Ukraine, and additionally I finished a post secondary education in Administration from Poland. In 2015, I did some volunteering in Poland through AIESEC. It was a great experience! I got to work with kids of different ages, from little ones in daycare to older ones in school. I also lived with a Polish family during that time, which provided invaluable culture immersion. In 2018, I worked with children in daycare, ranging from 9 months to 3 years old. I am proficient in Ukrainian, Russian, and Polish languages.
Outside of work, I love learning new things, going for walks, and drinking hot water all day. So, you'll usually see me with a thermos nearby.
I came to Canada with my family when I was 12 years old. I love to enjoy the outdoors and canoeing in the summer is my favorite activity. I have little brothers and enjoy playing soccer and badminton with them. I love my cats as well!
I am completing my Early Childhood Certificate through Northwestern Polytechnic and enjoy the learning! I originally wanted to study to be a Paralegal but really felt drawn to teaching children and watching them grow.
We have a family style daycare room with all our ages in the same room. The toddlers have their own separate area to offer age appropriate learning and activities. We have the advantage of lots of natural light coming into the room daily and we can move our centres around to open up the room for activities that needs lots of space.
All ages eat in the main area together at tables. We strive to help the children be independent with serving themselves. We serve 2 meals and 2 snacks daily and follow the Canada food guide!
When you enter the room, you will notice our bright colors, play centres and the open ended possibilities for learning!
Our fenced in backyard is on the north side of the building. Two different playing surfaces (grass and rubber) allow for many learning outcomes. Mini gardens, house centre, riding cars, tables and various toys fill in the area for the children. We also use the field area to the north side of the fenced yard.
